DATA PRIVACY POLICY The collection and processing of personal data was designed to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. Alto House may, unilaterally and at any time, change, modify, amend or rectify this Privacy Policy, without the need for any prior notice.

By accessing and using altohouse.pt, its content and/or our services, the user freely and expressly accepts and consents, by means of an unequivocal positive act, authorizes that his personal data, requested or optionally provided by him, be collected and treated by Alto House under the terms set forth herein.

The data provided and collected by Alto House are intended to:

Name and contact details: We collect your first and last name, email address, address, telephone number and other similar contact details. Demographics: Age, gender, country and preferred language. Usage data: We collect data about how you interact with our Services. This includes data such as the features you use, items you purchase, web pages you visit and search terms you enter. This also includes data about your device and the network you use to connect to our services, including IP address, device identifiers (such as IMEI number for phones), regional and language settings. Includes information about the operating systems and other software installed on your device, including product keys. Location Data: We collect data about your location, which may be accurate or inaccurate. Alto House employs measures to protect collected information from loss, destruction, disclosure, unauthorized access, misuse and alteration. Although the transmission of data over the internet or website cannot guarantee total security against intrusions, Alto House and our service providers and business partners, we use our best efforts to implement and maintain physical, electronic and procedural security measures designed to protect your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection requirements. Alto House adopts internal and subcontracting procedures (whenever they exist), to deal with cases of violations of personal data (susceptible to result in a risk to the rights of data subjects), namely in the detection, identification and investigation of circumstances, mitigating measures, circuits of information between responsible and subcontractor, involvement of Alto House and notification to the CNPD of the occurrence of personal data breaches, in accordance with the deadlines set out in the regulation (up to 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach).  
  1. Period of Retention/Conservation of personal data
Alto House only keeps your data for as long as is necessary within the scope of the purpose for which it was collected. Once the maximum conservation period has been reached, your personal data will be irreversibly anonymized (anonymized data may be preserved) or will be securely destroyed. For the purposes described in this Privacy Policy (customer service and marketing) your personal data will be kept for a maximum period of 12 to 18 months from the collection of your consent or the last contact made (depending on what happens in last place) and if, within this period, you have not withdrawn your consent.  
  1. Right of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition (ARC) of personal data
Under the terms of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to request access to personal data concerning him, as well as its rectification or deletion, from the controller.   1. Right to lodge a Complaint with a supervisory authority
Under the terms of the RGPD, it is informed that the data subject has the right to submit complaints to the competent supervisory authority, in this case the National Commission for Data Protection. If you have any questions related to our use of your personal data, you should first contact us by sending an email to info@altohouse.pt or by sending a written communication, by registered mail, to the address Alto House, Rua de Berlim 39, 8000-278 Faro. Subject to certain conditions, you may have the right to ask us to:
  • provide you with additional information about the use we make of your personal data;
  • provide you with a copy of the personal data you have provided to us;
  • we provide the personal data you have provided to another controller at your request;
  • update any inaccuracies in the personal data we hold;
  • that we erase personal data whose use is no longer legitimate;

Your exercise of these rights is subject to certain exceptions designed to safeguard the public interest (prevention or detection of crimes) or our interest (maintenance of professional secrecy). Customers or users who wish to express dissatisfaction with the provision of services, marketing of products or quality of service, may formally file a complaint, which is subject to analysis and treatment by Alto House. The complainant must indicate identification elements that enable the analysis and clearly and completely describe the facts that motivate the complaint. The complaint can be presented in three possible ways: – In the Electronic Complaint Book available at https://www.livroreclamacoes.pt – In the physical paper Complaints Book, available at the headquarters. – By email addressed to info@altohouse.pt Alto House always communicates the decision formally, whether the claimant is right or in other cases. All steps are taken to swiftly conclude the complaint processes. In cases of a high degree of complexity, the complainant is kept informed through the means considered most appropriate.
